Sony announced their "Appreciation Program" earlier today, detailing how they hope to make good with PSN users after the past week's debacle. As stated in their press release, the program will include the following:

  • Each territory will be offering selected PlayStation entertainment
content for free download. Specific details of this content will be
    announced in each region soon.
  • All existing PlayStation Network
customers will be provided with 30 days free membership in the
PlayStation Plus premium service. Current members of PlayStation Plus
will receive 30 days free service.
  • Music Unlimited powered by
Qriocity subscribers (in countries where the service is available) will
    receive 30 days free service.

What do you think? Does free PSN content, a month of Playstation Plus, and a month of Qriocity make up for the massive security breach?

Retail sources are reporting to Andriasang that the initial shipment of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will be "extremely small." Those same sources are claiming that Nintendo isn't allowing retailers to place orders of the game, and the availability will be short regardless of retailer.

Odd news considering Ocarina of Time 3D is one of the most anticipated games for the 3DS. Hopefully, sales will be swift enough to bring in some larger shipments after launch.
