Skyrim Patch May Have Broken Things

Gamers rejoicing over Bethesda's recent patch release for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may want to hold off downloading it for now.

Numerous users have reported that some of the problems that plagued the game pre-patch still haven't been fixed, such as the frame rate issues for the PlayStation 3 version. A running thread on the official Bethesda forums is keeping a tally on all the bugs that are either new or still haven't been fixed.

One interesting, if not humorous, bug that popped up due to the patch are dragons with erratic flight patterns (see below). Another widespread bug being reported is the game no longer recognizing magic resistances.

Keep in mind these issues aren't affecting everyone, so expect varying results. Patch v1.2 was released yesterday for PlayStation 3 and should arrive on Xbox 360 and PC sometime today. We reached out to Bethesda for comment and will update this story if we hear back.

Follow Link’s Wildest Adventures Yet On Twitter

I never fail to be amazed by the awesome concepts people come up with for unique Twitter accounts. Here's the latest that I've discovered: A Legend of Zelda fan has created a Twitter profile devoted to chronicling the adventures of his Toon Link toy with clever tweets and adorable photographs.

You can follow along on this journey for yourself at the @LinksAdventures Twitter page. The image above makes reference to Spirit Tracks, while other recent entries include Link discovering a Deku Leaf, chilling with an original gold NES cartridge, and indulging in some very strange Elixir Soup.

The Link's Adventures account is run by Alan Rappaport (@AlanRappa), a New Jersey native who describes himself as a "wanna be photographer." Judging by the quality of these shots, I think he deserves a bit more credit than that. He clearly has skill with a camera and also appears to know what's what when it comes to the Zelda games. Follow the account and enjoy the pretty pictures — I know I will!

Inside The Mind Of A Skyrim Serial Killer

We've seen plenty of interesting fan videos since the launch of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but there's been nothing as wildly creepy and disturbing as this one. If you're squeamish or easily freaked out, I recommend turning away now.

In this video from YouTube user "symixable," we get to see what begins as a pleasant tour of a well-kept Skyrim home. Then the bodies show up. Then the heads show up. Yep, I'm gonna have nightmares about this one tonight. Enjoy!

Check Out New Concept Art From Rainbow Six Patriots

Ubisoft has released some concept art from the upcoming Rainbow Six Patriots.

You won't see anything revelatory in these images. There are soldiers, shooting guns, rappelling from high heights, shooting more guns, and it all looks very exciting.

Rainbow Six Patriots is set for release in early 2013. For more on the game, check out our Rainbow Six Patriots hub.
