These Are The Most Pirated Games Of 2011

TorrentFreak.com listed its most pirated games of 2011 across PC and consoles. There weren't a whole lot of suprises to be had. Crysis 2 led the way on PCs and Gears of War 3 had the most downloads on the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 was not mentioned because apparently the system had, "considerably less downloads."

The biggest surprise was the Wii. Super Mario Galaxy 2 topped the list, but that didn't even release this year, and second place went to Mario Sports Mix, which had more than a million downloads. Bastion Sells Well Over 500,000 Copies

According to the developers website, Bastion is a success with over 500,000 copies sold, and numerous awards.

Supergiant Games is saying, "this week marked a major milestone for us when Bastion sailed past half a million copies sold." This was due in part to assorted sales on the game occurring on Steam and Xbox Live.

Supergiant games is now in a position "to make more games on [its] own terms." Which means as a consumer, we will get better games.

It's always heartwarming to see smaller quality games do well.

Anonymous Threatens Sony With Robotic Voice On YouTube

Anonymous is upset at Sony for supporting the SOPA act, and is threatening to shut down its network again. The hacker group also threatened Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, and Taylor Swift.

Here is the full text of their threat:

"Hello, SONY.
We are Anonymous.

It has come to the attention of the Anonymous activist community that you have chosen to stand by the Stop Online Piracy Act. This act will halt online businesses and restrict access to many sites for many users. Supporting SOPA is like trying to throw an entire company from off a bridge. Your support to the act is a signed death warrant to SONY Company and Associates. Therefore, yet again, we have decided to destroy your network. We will dismantle your phantom from the internet. Prepare to be extinguished. Justice will be swift, and it will be for the people, whether some like it or not. Sony, you have been warned.

To those doubting our powers. We've infiltrated the servers of Bank of America, The United States Department of Defense, The United Nations, and Lockheed Martin. In one day.

For their approval to SOPA, we have also declared that our fury be brought upon the following persons. Justin Bieber. Lady Gaga. Kim Kardashian. and Taylor Swift.

Operation Blackout, engaged.
Operation Mayhem, engaged.
Operation LulzXmas, engaged.

We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Supporters of SOPA, you should've expected us."

Now might be a good time to change your PSN password and grab Rochard off the PlayStation Network.

The Indie Platformer Is Nearing Release

Fez is one of those really cool looking games, that seemed like it would never actually release. A recent PEGI rating though, means that we should get a chance to play Fez very soon.

We still don't have an exact date, but any good is good news. The game was set for a release this year, but in September that game received a gentle push into the early part of 2012.
