In an interview with vg247, thatgamecompany co-founder Jenova Chen had said, "we’re negotiating with various partners, so maybe within the next month, we’ll be able to determine which is the [right deal]." At that point Chen said they would like to announce their next project adding, "we announced Flower half a year after we launched Flow. We announced Journey half a year after we launched Flower. So hopefully within this year, you’ll hear from us about our next game."

Sony and thatgamecompany had a three game exclusivity deal, so now that it has completed its contract with Sony, it's possible that the next game from thatgamcompany could be a multi-platform release.

Everyone wants to be a millionaire. 2K Sports MLB 2K12 Perfect Game Challenge offered players just that. But was the contest fair?

2K’s contest stipulated that contestants of the $ 1 Million Perfect Game Challenge must use real-world matchups being played during the contest. Players were provided a lineup via MLB 2K12's "MLB Today" feature, but some people claim that there was an exploit that allowed users to make the contest easier and sku the contest in their favor.

2K Sports has a contest algorithm that scores every perfect game based on a number of factors. If players use a weaker pitcher to score a perfect game against a strong team, their game is ranked higher.

But according to a recent Kotaku article, some players altered the batting lineup of opposing teams in order to make pitching a perfect game easier. A work around that may not have factored into 2K’s scoring algorithm.

The game's official rules only forbid substituting a player’s own pitcher, but some feel that this work around is a little dishonest.

We've reached out to 2K Games for a comment. Who knows how this might affect the winners, or how future contest will be regulated.

Miyamoto Takes A Shot At Vita

Nintendo's creative visionary says that the powerful Sony handheld isn't "a very strong product."

While Miyamoto isn't known weighing in on his competitors, he definitely seems to have a low opinion of the Vita in a new interview with EDGE magazine.

When asked his opinion of the Vita, he commented, "It's obviously a very high-spec machine and you can do lots of things with it, but I don't really see the combination of software and hardware that really makes a very strong product."

He added, "But I can't really say."

Mr. Miyamoto, I think you just did.

However, he also acknowledged Nintendo's own mistakes in the launch of its 3DS handheld. Miyamoto said, "When we launched the 3DS hardware we didn't have Super Mario 3D Land, we didn't have Mario Kart 7, we didn't have Kid Icarus: Uprising. We were striving to have all of these ready for the launch, but we weren't able to deliver them at that time."
